Cisneros Interactive’s partnership with Facebook began two and a half years ago in Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay. In Costa Rica, we are proud to be celebrating our first year where we are already working with 90% of the advertising agencies and serving over 500 advertisers from many sectors.
Costa Rica, together with Uruguay where we are also a Facebook Authorized Sales Partner, has the fastest broadband connection and highest internet penetration rates (90%) in Latin America, making Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp platforms mass media whose influence is on par with TV and far superior to other traditional media. With this in mind, the digital advertising industry ‘s 20% growth in Costa Rica this year should come as no surprise.
At Cisneros Interactive, we strive to educate the marketplace and increase investment in digital advertising, and Costa Rica is no exception. We raise awareness about digital marketing by demonstrating how Facebook’s platforms can deliver real business results for our customers. We have trained over 600 people in formal Facebook courses such as Blueprint Live and Spotlights. We also offer private sessions to coach clients on Facebook’s best uses and how to leverage it to achieve business results.
Our main focus is understanding our clients’ business models and objectives and helping them achieve these goals through effective communication strategies for Facebook and its affiliates. And by business objectives, we mean their true business goals, not just social media vanity. A car dealer’s ultimate objective, for example, is to sell more cars, not to increase its’ follower base or number of video views or likes.
Here are some examples of how we helped leading Costa Rican companies Yuplón and Grupo Monge:
- Yuplón, a digital coupon company, achieved a 233% return on investment and reduced its customer acquisition cost by 71%, meaning it won over more customers and generated higher sales for its affiliated merchants. “All I can say is our experience with Cisneros was very productive and gave us better-than-expected results,” said Juan Pablo Rojas from GN Digital at Yuplón. “Cisneros immediately understood our results-based culture and prioritized our need to visualize our rate of return. We had already optimized our early results, and this has convinced us to triple our investment in the platform in the medium-term.”
- Grupo Monge achieved a 10% growth in online sales and reduced its customer acquisition cost by 66%, streamlining its digital marketing strategy.
